ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT / TEAM
The sales and marketing team is the external representation of the hotel, serving as a bridge between the potential clients and the operations. The ultimate goal is to convert the potential into revenue for the entire property. Sales and Marketing is made of four areas working closely together: communications, sales (general), event sales and room reservations. The team is led by the director of sales and marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Management: Oversee daily sales operations, manage event and group sales, develop new accounts, and meet revenue targets through various sales efforts.
- Client Relations & Business Development: Conduct site inspections, host familiarization trips, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strategy & Planning: Assist in budgeting, marketing plans, and setting annual sales goals. Develop sales campaigns and promotions.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and coach the sales team, conduct performance reviews, and implement training programs.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to refine pricing and sales strategies.
- Meetings & Reporting: Participate in regular sales and operations meetings, submit sales reports, and analyze progress.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain sales databases, respond to inquiries promptly, and ensure proper documentation of sales activities.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with other departments to streamline operations and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Periodic & Other Duties: Attend hotel functions, conduct overseas sales calls, develop promotional packages, and uphold professional ethics and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Strong leadership, team-building, and sales management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- High integrity, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to work flexible and irregular hours.
