We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Junior Bartender to join our team. In this role you’ll be working alongside one of the most professional teams in the industry. In your role you will be responsible for delivering the highest level of service and supporting your team while on shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Tends bar and prepares drinks for customers as per standard recipes
  • Cleans and prepares bar for closing
  • Maintains bar cleanliness throughout shift.
  • Takes inventory and order supplies and maintains kegs.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of equipment use and ensuring constant maintenance and upkeep of items.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive internal and external guests’ relations at all times.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Asking for management assistant where necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, maintenance and organization of assigned work area
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
    • sections and table numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the lounge.
    • all liquor brands, listed and non-listed cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes.
    • the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and wines on the wine list.
    • all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish and method of presentation.
  • Complete opening side duties as assigned:
    • Check quality and amount of all stock and supplies using checklist.
    • Set up and maintain proper mise for bar and work stations.
    • Ensure a sufficient supply of all glassware for service
  • Check cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
  • Input order into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by the Culinary Department.
  • Open and serve wine/champagne bottles with proper presentation and service technique
  • Complete closing side duties:
    • Properly breakdown and store all reusable goods.
    • Clean all equipment.
    • Restock items for next service.
    • Complete assigned closing duties

What you will bring
In addition to your immaculate presentation, charming smile and positive attitude, you will:
  • Have a background in bartending
  • Ideally experience in 5 star properties 
  • Have knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems 
  • Have strong and effective communication skills 
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Be a team player who is caring, flexible and respectful
  • Be a reliable, honest and engaged with excellent attention to detail
  • Have a winning personality, with the ability to surprise and delight
