Job Summary

The Cluster Assistant Director of Sales supports the strategic and operational leadership of the Sales function for Rosewood AMAALA and Rosewood Red Sea. Based in Riyadh, this role plays a key part in driving revenue performance across international Leisure, Corporate, and MICE segments, with a particular emphasis on high-value Leisure and MICE business from priority global markets.

The role requires frequent travel within Saudi Arabia to AMAALA and the Red Sea, as well as international travel to key feeder markets. The position demands deep cultural intelligence, the ability to engage skillfully with both Saudi and international clientele, and the refinement to host and entertain high-level clients from Europe, North America, and other Western markets.

The Cluster Assistant Director of Sales serves as a commercial representative of the properties, supporting the Cluster ADOSM in developing segment strategies, mentoring the Sales team, and executing a disciplined, luxury-appropriate approach to business development, account management, and market activation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

SALES STRATEGY, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKET LEADERSHIP

    Support the Cluster Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing in developing and implementing proactive sales strategies for all segments, with a focus on high-yield Leisure and MICE markets.

    Execute business development initiatives across priority regions, cultivating strong relationships with key travel advisors, luxury agencies, event planners, corporate buyers, and destination partners.

    Identify, qualify, and pursue new accounts immediately in alignment with agreed commercial strategies.

    Maintain strong knowledge of international feeder markets, cultural nuances, decision-making behaviors, and regional travel patterns across Europe, North America, GCC, and emerging luxury markets.

    Represent Rosewood AMAALA and Rosewood Red Sea at global trade shows, roadshows, sales missions, media events, and key industry activations.

    Host and entertain clients with skill and cultural fluency, ensuring interactions are refined, comfortable, and aligned with luxury expectations.

    Leverage market intelligence, competitor insights, and client feedback to refine sales strategies and recommend commercial improvements.


REVENUE DELIVERY & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

    Contribute to delivering revenue goals across Rooms, Suites, Villas, Wellness, Experiences, and Group segments.

    Monitor performance of key accounts and segments, analyzing booking trends, production levels, and conversion opportunities.

    Prepare individual sales targets and support the development of team-specific sales action plans that underpin the cluster revenue strategy.

    Support the ADOSM in driving segment performance related to occupancy, average rate, RevPAR, and market share.

    Recommend tactical opportunities and short-term strategies during need periods to protect revenue and optimize business mix.

    Maintain expert-level knowledge of Rosewood AMAALA and Rosewood Red Sea product offerings, destination experiences, access routes, and competitive landscape to support accurate, confident, and compelling client presentations.


ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & CLIENT RELATIONS

    Maintain an active portfolio of key global Leisure and MICE accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and high-level service.

    Support Sales Managers in strengthening relationships with top-producing agencies and partners. Introduce the ADOSM and/or DOSM to key decision-makers and influencers, ensuring senior-level involvement at critical moments.

    Serve as a trusted point of escalation for client feedback, concerns, and contract negotiations.

    Assist in handling contractual partner complaints and ensure timely, professional resolution to protect long-term loyalty.

    Demonstrate refined hosting etiquette and the cultural fluency required to engage comfortably with senior decision-makers, government delegates, and high-net-worth individuals from both Saudi Arabia and international markets.


SALES TEAM LEADERSHIP, COACHING & DEVELOPMENT

    Provide daily leadership to Sales Managers and Sales Executives, ensuring clear priorities, disciplined execution, and consistent sales activity.

    Mentor and coach the team in leisure selling, group contracting, international market etiquette, cultural intelligence, and commercial decision-making.

    Review individual action plans and ensure alignment with cluster strategy and revenue goals.

    Support the ADOSM in identifying training needs and implementing capability-development programs.

    Lead by example in professionalism, conduct, client engagement, and representation of Rosewood.

    Provide day-to-day functional leadership for Sales Managers and Sales Executives, even without formal direct-report responsibility, ensuring alignment, accountability, and performance discipline.


REPORTING, PROCESS EXCELLENCE & SYSTEMS INTEGRITY

    Ensure accurate and timely recording of all sales activities, opportunities, and account updates in Salesforce/Delphi.

    Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports for the ADOSM.

    Draft and refine SOPs for sales operations, contracting standards, and account management processes.

    Ensure compliance with brand, pricing, and contractual governance policies, escalating exceptions as needed.

    Assist the ADOSM with planning, documenting, and executing key marketing and partnership initiatives.


CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION & DESTINATION INTEGRATION

    Coordinate with Revenue, Reservations, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Wellness, and Experiences teams to support seamless sales delivery.

    Communicate key client requirements, preferences, and VIP expectations to operational departments.

    Maintain strong awareness of AMAALA and Red Sea destination developments, regulations, access protocols, and guest experience touchpoints.

    Act as a commercial liaison across both properties, ensuring alignment on standards, product knowledge, and commercial priorities.

    Support pre-opening readiness efforts including collateral review, sales kit development, product knowledge training, walkthroughs, and operational alignment.


Standard Responsibilities

    Comply with all policies, service standards, and operational procedures of Rosewood.

    Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Rosewood with professionalism, refinement, and cultural intelligence.

    Maintain positive working relationships across departments, properties, and destinations.

    Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and discretion in all handling of client information, commercial data, and internal communications.

    Support commercial initiatives across both properties and contribute to the overall Sales and Marketing Plan.

    Comply with all Health & Safety regulations applicable to the workplace.

    Attend all required Fire, Health & Safety training.

    Maintain awareness of departmental risk assessments and emergency procedures.

    Follow safety protocols during travel, site inspections, events, and client-hosting activities.

    Flexibility is required for extended hours, weekends, and travel across Riyadh, Red Sea, AMAALA, and international markets.

    Must be able to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice, to support sales missions, client visits, and destination activations.


Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Hospitality.

    Minimum 5–7 years of luxury hospitality sales experience, with strong exposure to Leisure and MICE markets.

    Proven experience in international markets, especially Europe and Western regions, strongly preferred.

    Strong cultural intelligence and ability to build rapport across diverse markets.

    Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional European language is a strong advantage.

    High-level professionalism, presentation skills, and confidence in hosting senior clients.

    Strong knowledge of Saudi customs, cultural etiquette, and business practices.

    Proficiency in Salesforce, Delphi, and Microsoft Office Suite.
