The Opportunity: Bar & Wine Manager (Full-Time, Permanent)

We are seeking a guest-focused and experienced Bar & Wine Manager to lead our beverage operations at Rosewood Kauri Cliffs.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading all bar and wine service delivery, curating a premium beverage programme, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all outlets. You will also oversee team leadership, training, stock control, and financial performance, ensuring operations align with Rosewood’s luxury standards.

What You Will Do

  • Lead daily operations across all bar and beverage outlets

  • Curate and maintain a premium wine, cocktail, and beverage programme

  • Ensure consistent delivery of luxury service standards

  • Manage wine cellar conditions, stock, and beverage storage

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team

  • Deliver structured training and maintain training records

  • Manage rosters, wage costs, and operational efficiency

  • Complete stocktakes and monitor beverage cost performance

  • Collaborate with Culinary and Front Office teams on menu pairing and guest experience

  • Act as Manager on Duty as required

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within luxury hospitality

  • Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beverage operations

  • Understanding of luxury service standards (LQA knowledge advantageous)

  • Proven leadership and team development capability

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Strong attention to detail and guest-first mindset

  • Confident computer skills

  • Immaculate personal presentation

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
