Sales Manager – Corporate is responsible for generating room revenue through the acquisition, development, and retention of corporate accounts, negotiated business, and selected group opportunities. The role focuses on building long-term client relationships, maximizing room nights and average rate, and identifying cross-selling opportunities across catering, small meetings, events, and related academy offerings.
This position acts as a commercial ambassador for the property, driving business from local and regional clients, relocations, project business, training groups, sports-related stays.
What You Will Do
- Drive room revenue through prospecting, account management, contract negotiation, and client relationship building.
- Develop and grow corporate business from key segments such as local and multinational companies, travel buyers and UHNIs.
- Manage assigned accounts to meet budget targets through effective rate strategies and account plans.
- Conduct sales activities including client meetings, sales calls, site inspections, networking, and entertainment to generate room revenue.
- Prepare and negotiate corporate rates, proposals, contracts, and RFPs in line with pricing and approval guidelines.
- Track account performance, room-night pace, and market trends, adjusting strategies to maximize revenue.
- Generate group room business such as sports camps, retreats, and similar accommodation needs.
- Partner with Events & Partnerships Team to convert corporate leads into meetings, catering, and event business.
- Identify and cross-sell additional revenue opportunities including meetings, admissions, dining, academies, and sports programmes.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular activity, pipeline, and forecast reports.
- Work with internal teams to ensure smooth contract delivery, inventory use, and guest experience.
- Support promotions, packages, and sales initiatives for low-demand periods and key dates.
What You Should Have
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum (3) to (5) years of sales experience in hospitality, preferably in corporate rooms sales.
- Prior hotel experience in corporate sales is strongly preferred; exposure to catering, events, or group sales is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of corporate account management, rate negotiation, RFP processes, and hotel sales cycles.
- Proven track record in achieving room revenue, room-night, and account acquisition targets.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance volume, rate, and profitability.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with decision-makers, travel buyers, office managers, HR teams, procurement contacts, and executive assistants.
- Organized, proactive, and disciplined in follow-up, reporting, and pipeline management.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Good knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and hotel sales/reporting tools.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, Cantonese / Japanese / Korean advantageous.
