OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
The Cluster Public Relations Manager for Rosewood Red Sea and Rosewood Amaala, located along Saudi Arabia’s pristine west coast, is responsible for developing and executing strategic public relations initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation for both properties. This role drives media engagement, influencer partnerships, and community relations to position the resorts as premier ultra-luxury destinations, aligning with Rosewood’s global standards and Amaala’s vision of holistic wellness, sustainability, and regenerative tourism. Reporting to the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, the Cluster Public Relations Manager will lead PR efforts to foster positive brand perception and support business objectives in one of the world’s most exclusive luxury markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to elevate brand awareness and achieve a minimum of 20% increase in positive media coverage year-over-year for both properties.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media, journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders to secure high-impact coverage in luxury travel, lifestyle, and wellness publications.
- Create and distribute compelling press releases, media kits, and content that reflect the cultural heritage of the Red Sea region and Amaala’s wellness-focused vision.
- Manage influencer and media familiarization trips, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with Rosewood’s ultra-luxury brand standards.
- Implement sustainable PR practices, such as digital media outreach and eco-conscious events, in alignment with Amaala’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operational teams to ensure PR initiatives support revenue goals and align with resort-wide wellness and cultural offerings.
- Ensure compliance with Rosewood’s global brand standards, local regulations, and ethical PR practices in all communications and media interactions.
- Utilize PR and analytics tools to monitor media coverage, track campaign performance, and report on key metrics to optimize strategies and enhance brand reputation.
- Coordinate with local communities, tourism boards, and government entities to promote the properties as key contributors to the Red Sea region’s tourism landscape.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing media trends, guest feedback, and competitor PR activities to refine strategies and elevate brand positioning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field; advanced certifications in PR or hospitality communications are a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in public relations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role within a luxury hotel, resort, or wellness-focused brand.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and stakeholders, with a track record of securing high-profile coverage.
- Strong understanding of luxury travel, wellness, and lifestyle media trends, with a passion for crafting compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.
- Experience implementing sustainable PR practices, such as digital-first campaigns or eco-friendly events, preferably in luxury or environmentally sensitive destinations.
- Proficiency in PR and media monitoring tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) and Microsoft Office Suite to manage campaigns, track performance, and create reports.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or additional languages is a plus
