We are currently looking for a Head Chef – Holborn Dining Room to join our Culinary Services team at Rosewood London.


The Head Chef – Holborn Dining Room is responsible for leading the kitchen operation of one of London's most celebrated dining destinations, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, presentation, hygiene and guest satisfaction at all times. Reporting to the Restaurants Head Chef, this role oversees the daily culinary delivery of Holborn Dining Room, leading and developing the kitchen brigade while driving operational excellence, financial performance and the highest standards of luxury hospitality.


Key expectations of this role

  • Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen brigade, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and teamwork. 
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared, presented and served to the highest standards of quality, consistency and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the daily kitchen operation, ensuring efficient service delivery and effective resource allocation. 
  • Drive food cost control, labour productivity, stock management and purchasing performance while protecting product quality.
  • Support menu development, seasonal promotions and culinary innovation aligned with the Holborn Dining Room concept and Rosewood standards. 
  • Maintain full compliance with food safety, HACCP, allergen management, health & safety and company policies. 
  • Build strong working relationships with Food & Beverage, Stewarding, Purchasing and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery. 
  • Monitor guest feedback, market trends and competitor activity to drive continuous improvement and maintain a best-in-class dining experience.


Profile

  • Experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader within a luxury hotel, high-volume restaurant or similar premium hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing culinary teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing food cost, labour budgets and operational performance.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, allergen management and kitchen compliance standards.
  • Creative and passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining consistency and efficiency.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Able to make informed decisions and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
