OVERVIEW:

The Director of Spa at Rosewood AMAALA will lead the creation and management of a world-class spa, embodying Rosewood’s A Sense of Place philosophy by blending Saudi Arabian cultural heritage with innovative wellness practices. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving operational excellence, and establishing the spa as a premier luxury wellness destination along the Red Sea coast.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a unique spa concept integrating Saudi traditions and global wellness trends.
• Oversee daily operations, including staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Curate personalized, culturally resonant wellness experiences and signature treatments.
• Drive revenue through strategic pricing, upselling, and retail initiatives while managing budgets.
• Uphold Rosewood’s Sense spa standards and ensure alignment with local cultural authenticity.
• Mentor and develop a diverse, high-performing spa team with cultural sensitivity.
• Collaborate with luxury brands and local artisans for exclusive treatments and products.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Partner with marketing to promote the spa through campaigns and digital content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7-10 years of spa/wellness management experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role at a luxury hotel/resort.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or wellness; advanced spa/wellness certifications preferred.
• Deep understanding of Saudi Arabian culture and hospitality expectations.
• Proven leadership, financial acumen, and ability to manage diverse teams.
• Exceptional communication skills; fluency in English
• Experience in multicultural, international settings with knowledge of luxury hospitality trends.
• Familiarity with spa management software and wellness innovations.
