THE TEAM
As part of the hotel’s Executive Leadership Team, this role works at the center of strategic, operational, and cultural leadership for the property. Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President and supported by the Vice President, Operations, AMER the Managing Director collaborates closely with ownership groups, regional and corporate partners, and the hotel’s senior leadership team to drive performance, brand integrity, guest experience and long‑term value.
YOUR ROLE
As Managing Director, you are the overall leader of the hotel, accountable for its performance, culture, and reputation. You set the strategic direction, guide operational excellence, and deliver strong financial results while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and full alignment with Rosewood Hotel Group’s purpose and values. Acting as a key ambassador for the brand, you build trusted relationships with owners and stakeholders, champion Relationship Hospitality, and integrate sustainability and positive impact into every aspect of the hotel’s operations and leadership.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Define and champion the hotel’s vision and ensure it is reflected in every guest interaction and associates’ experience.
- Lead the development and execution of the hotel’s business plan, budget, and capital strategy to maximize performance and return on investment.
- Drive operational excellence and guest experience standards across all areas of the hotel, ensuring consistent delivery of Rosewood quality and service.
- Oversee financial performance, commercial strategy, and revenue optimization in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management leaders.
- Champion brand integrity, guest experience, and quality assurance programs, embedding continuous improvement across the operation.
- Ensure full compliance with fire, life safety, and regulatory standards, protecting guests, associates, and assets without compromise.
- Integrate Rosewood’s purpose and Rosewood Impacts sustainability roadmap into daily operations, leadership practices, and decision‑making.
- Build a high‑performance, inclusive culture by leading, mentoring, and developing the executive team and future leaders.
- Act as a visible leader and brand ambassador within the hotel and local community, managing key stakeholder and owner relationships.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
- You are an accomplished Managing Director/General Manager with deep experience guiding luxury hotel operations and executive teams, with prior experience in Hawaii.
- You bring strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to translate strategy into measurable results.
- You are passionate about delivering exceptional, personalized guest experiences while protecting brand standards.
- You are innovative, with proven ability to create partnerships, concepts and events that create additional revenue generating opportunities and/or extraordinary experiences driving brand loyalty and repeat guests.
- You lead with authenticity, integrity, and influence, building trust‑based relationships with owners, stakeholders, and teams.
- You are a people‑first leader who develops talent, drives engagement, and builds diverse, high‑performing teams.
- You think strategically and long‑term, balancing operational excellence with innovation, sustainability, and positive impact.

The salary range for this position is USD $300k - $375k base annually. This position may also be eligible for bonuses and other benefits. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, location, and education.
