Job Summary

The Cluster Public Relations & Communications Manager serves as a key communications leader for Rosewood AMAALA and Rosewood Red Sea, shaping the brand narrative, strengthening reputation, and driving earned visibility across KSA, the wider GCC, and global markets. Based in Riyadh, with regular travel to both destinations, this role manages all PR strategy, media relations, press activations, and reputation management for the cluster, while also leading broader communications deliverables including brand copywriting, presentation and collateral development, and brand partnership ideation. The Manager works closely with the Director of Communications, with additional collaboration with the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, ensuring alignment between communications, sales-focused storytelling, and commercial objectives, while safeguarding the authority of the Communications function over brand voice, messaging, copywriting, collateral, and all external communications. A fluent Arabic speaker with deep ties to media networks, government outlets, luxury lifestyle editors, business publications, and cultural institutions, the Manager elevates the identity of both properties through compelling storytelling that reflects the values of Rosewood and expresses a sense of place inspired by the destination’s heritage, wellness vision, and regenerative ethos.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual Public Relations Strategy for both Rosewood AMAALA and Rosewood Red Sea in alignment with brand standards and destination positioning.

• Maintain a proactive press office, driving consistent storytelling, seasonal narratives, executive visibility, and corporate alignment.

• Manage PR calendars, announcement cycles, key messaging frameworks, and cluster-wide communications timelines.

• Ensure all communications uphold the identity, tone, and standards of Rosewood and contribute to long-term brand equity.

• Liaise closely with destination communications teams (e.g., Red Sea Global) to ensure all external communications, announcements, and press activities follow required approval workflows and adhere to destination-level messaging guidelines.

• Coordinate all communications related to destination-level announcements, milestones, and project updates in alignment with AMAALA and Red Sea destination authorities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and approval through the required channels.

MEDIA RELATIONS & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

• Build, maintain, and expand a robust network of media relationships across KSA, GCC, and priority global markets, including lifestyle, luxury, wellness, business, travel, and cultural press.

• Serve as the primary Arabic-speaking spokesperson for media when required, ensuring accuracy, cultural fluency, and brand alignment.

• Proactively pitch stories, arrange interviews, manage requests, and secure high-quality earned placements.

• Develop and maintain detailed media lists, relationship maps, and journalist preference profiles for both properties.

• Support development of a media readiness program for spokespeople, including briefing documents and message rehearsals.

• Build relationships with government communications offices, protocol departments, and official media entities to support high-level visits, delegations, and government-related announcements.

• Ensure all messaging and spokesperson engagements align with national guidelines, cultural sensitivities, and approved communications protocol.

• Build strong working relationships with Red Sea Global and AMAALA destination PR teams, maintaining alignment on media strategy, message positioning, and coordinated story development across all stakeholders.

PRESS MATERIALS, COPYWRITING & CONTENT DEVELOPMENT

• Oversee the creation, approval, and distribution of all press releases, fact sheets, executive bios, Q&As, statements, and press kits.

• Ensure all written materials reflect brand voice and communicate a sense of place unique to AMAALA and Red Sea.

• Collaborate with corporate communications teams to ensure alignment with global brand storytelling and major corporate announcements.

• Maintain accuracy and consistency of messaging across all communications platforms.

• Ensure all press materials, media statements, story angles, and executive messaging are reviewed and approved by the Director of Communications and escalated to Rosewood corporate communications or destination PR teams when required.

• Support executive communications including speechwriting, talking points, interview preparation, and leadership messaging to elevate the visibility of Managing Directors and senior executives.

• Write, edit, and refine brand copy across all guest-facing and commercial touchpoints, including website content, brochures, in-room collateral, menus, newsletters, and campaign messaging, ensuring tone, accuracy, and alignment with Rosewood brand standards.

• Develop editorial content for seasonal campaigns, destination storytelling, wellness narratives, F&B programming, and cultural activations, adapting messaging for different audiences and markets.

• Review and quality-check social media captions, digital ad copy, and email marketing content developed by the Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager, ensuring consistency of voice and messaging across all channels.

• Maintain a library of approved brand copy, boilerplate descriptions, property descriptors, and key messaging documents for use across the cluster.

MEDIA & INFLUENCER VISITS

• Manage the end-to-end process for media visits, influencer stays, and broadcast crews, including itinerary design, filming coordination, hosting, briefing, approvals, and follow-up.

• Ensure all hosted stays meet ultra-luxury hospitality standards and deliver meaningful coverage.

• Support protocol teams during government, diplomatic, and royal visits, ensuring all media-related interactions, photography, and communications follow established etiquette and approval processes.

• Coordinate with the Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager to ensure influencer partnerships align with PR quality, messaging, and positioning standards.

• Coordinate with destination PR and protocol teams on-site to ensure that all media movements, photography, videography, and influencer activities comply with destination-level regulations and sensitivity requirements.

• Ensure all media and influencer filming activities comply with destination photography policies, security restrictions, privacy regulations, and protected-zone requirements, escalating violations immediately to destination and corporate teams.

CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS & REPUTATION MANAGEMENT

• Serve as a core member of the crisis communications response team for both properties.

• Draft holding statements, reactive messaging, and sensitive communications in coordination with the Director of Communications and Rosewood corporate communications.

• Ensure team readiness through scenario planning, protocol training, and issue tracking.

• Monitor online sentiment, media climate, and reputation indicators, escalating risks appropriately.

• Conduct proactive reputation-risk scanning, monitoring socio-political developments, cultural sensitivities, and industry issues that may impact Rosewood AMAALA or Rosewood Red Sea.

• Ensure all crisis or sensitive communications follow the escalation protocols set by Rosewood Corporate Communications and destination authorities, with no external responses issued without required approvals.

PRESENTATIONS & STRATEGIC COLLATERAL

• Develop and design high-quality presentations and pitch decks for internal leadership, owner updates, brand reviews, commercial proposals, and external stakeholder meetings.

• Create and maintain sales collateral, property factsheets, one-pagers, and leave-behind materials that support the Sales & Marketing team’s commercial efforts, ensuring brand consistency and visual quality.

• Support conference, trade show, and industry event preparation by producing briefing documents, presentation decks, and supporting materials as needed.

• Ensure all strategic collateral follows Rosewood brand guidelines, visual identity standards, and approved templates.
