OVERVIEW

At Rosewood AMAALA, the Kitchen Stewarding Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency across all culinary areas. Supporting our philosophy of Relationship Hospitality, this role ensures that every culinary experience is delivered seamlessly by maintaining pristine back-of-house environments in line with ultra-luxury standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and stewarding stores.
Ensure proper dishwashing, pot washing, and cleaning processes are followed at all times.
Support chefs and kitchen associates by ensuring availability of clean equipment during operations.
Handle garbage segregation and disposal in line with environmental and sustainability
Adhere strictly to HACCP standards and Rosewood food safety policies.
Ensure all cleaning chemicals are used safely and stored correctly.
Maintain hygiene logs, cleaning schedules, and checklists as required.
Assist in pest control and cleanliness audits.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and stewarding tools.
Report any damages or maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
Assist in stock control of cleaning supplies and stewarding inventory.
Support waste management initiatives including recycling and reduction of food waste.
Follow sustainability practices aligned with AMAALA’s environmental vision.
Work closely with Culinary and F&B teams to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Support colleagues during peak service periods with efficiency and teamwork.
Participate in training and continuous learning programs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen operations in a hotel or restaurant environment preferred.
Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks and long standing hours.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in a luxury environment.
Ability to work in a multicultural team environment.
