Job Summary

As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to our guests. Your role includes welcoming guests, providing detailed knowledge of the menu, taking orders, and ensuring every interaction is reflective of Rosewood’s commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. You will work closely with the kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for all.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience:

• Welcome guests warmly, guide them to their tables, and provide personalized service.
• Present and explain menu items with confidence, offering tailored recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
• Anticipate guests' needs, accommodate special requests, and ensure that allergies or dietary requirements are communicated effectively to the kitchen.
• Maintain a positive and attentive presence throughout the service to ensure guest satisfaction.

Operational Excellence:

• Set and maintain tables in line with Rosewood’s luxury standards.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, input them into the Micros system, and serve orders in a timely manner.
• Ensure all service areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout the shift.
• Follow opening and closing checklists, ensuring all preparation and end-of-day tasks are completed.
• Handle payments, process bills, and strictly adhere to all cashiering policies.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service.
• Attend briefings, tastings, and training sessions to stay informed about menu changes, promotions, and standards.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, providing clear handovers and logging any incidents or guest feedback.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

• Previous experience in food and beverage service is preferred but not required. Hospitality experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn about menu offerings, service standards, and guest engagement.

Personal Qualities:

• A positive attitude with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with guests and colleagues.
• Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability, creativity, and a proactive approach to challenges.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Micros or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage offerings, with the willingness to learn and develop expertise.
