Job Summary
The Front Desk Agent is a highly visible role that directly impacts the guest experience at Rosewood Amsterdam. This position involves welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, addressing inquiries, and providing seamless service to ensure a smooth and memorable stay. With a focus on building genuine connections and delivering excellence, the Front Desk Agent plays an integral role in representing the Rosewood brand.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience:
- Welcome and register guests, confirm reservations, and manage walk-ins with professionalism and efficiency.
- Process check-outs by confirming charges and collecting payments via room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
- Respond courteously and promptly to guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests, ensuring a personalized experience.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and consistently seek innovative ways to exceed their expectations.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data to ensure trust and security.
Operational Excellence:
- Communicate hotel services, amenities, and promotions to guests in a clear and engaging manner.
- Handle all transactions accurately, adhering to established hotel policies and procedures.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards as directed by management (Forbes and LQA).
- Ensure a smooth flow of operations at the front desk, including handling administrative tasks as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with all departments to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with both guests and team members.
- Model the company’s culture, vision, mission, and core values in all interactions and tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role within a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle stress effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Ability to remain organized in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
Languages:
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) is essential.
- Knowledge of Dutch is considered an advantage.
Personal Qualities:
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Hands-on approach with a focus on teamwork and flexibility to adapt to varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
