Are you a passionate, driven, and a skilled chef ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re searching for a talented Chef de Partie to join our exceptional team at Rosewood Matakauri where sophistication, creativity, and excellence are at the heart of everything we do!

What you will do

The kitchen is where the magic happens in our Luxury property - and you can be part of that!  Duties include -

  • Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues
  • Ensuring adequacy of supplies at cooking stations
  • Training, developing and supporting junior chefs
  • Following the guidance of the head or sous chefs and have input in new ways of presentation of dishes
  • Putting effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards

What you will bring

For this position, you must be self-motivated, a team player and work well in a fast-paced environment. Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Chef de Partie, in a similar standard establishment
  • Relevant culinary / hospitality qualifications
  • Have excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Have the ability to think on your feet as we have many guest requests and menu changes each week
  • Have good time management and the ability to multitask
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety requirements
