Job Summary 


Responsible for cleaning, tidying, and maintaining hygiene throughout Asaya, collecting, and distributing laundry, guest supplies and amenities ensure that Asaya runs smoothly and efficiently. Supports and guides the guests’ or members’ Asaya journey, helping other Asaya associates with the service of food and beverages, welcoming guests, and general duties around Asaya to ensure guests experience is seamless. 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


General Duties

  • Provide a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times.
  • Possess full working knowledge and ability to perform all duties and tasks listed under job description.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. To maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Respect the privacy of the guest at all times.
  • Attend briefings, as required.


Main Operational Duties
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures according to the shift.
  • Inspect the fitness, pool, and cafeteria area at the start, during and at the end of shift to ensure that the set-up of the department is in accordance with established standards.
  • Check the condition of spa facility and equipment and report any damage immediately to the supervisor.
  • Execute the standard of the Spa in the set-up of amenities and decor. Distributes to the different areas their linen, towel and amenities needed in their perspective services.
  • To escort arriving guests to requested area (Fitness, Pool, or Changing Area)
  • Help update with Wellness Concierges and/or Wellness Manager the guest history in the system according to information collected.
  • Replenish guest amenities in both the ladies and gentlemen’s changing rooms and washrooms in the Asaya areas.
  • Regularly check and tidy up all areas of the Asaya Fitness, Wellness, Spa and Public Areas including disposal of used items such as dirty laundry, guest amenities and general rubbish.
  • Check and maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of wet areas particularly the showers, basins, toilets, mirrors, floors, sauna, and steam rooms.
  • Collect and deliver clean and dirty laundry within the linen room opening times. To stock and replenish lockers, linen cupboards with clean laundry. Ensure that all laundry items are of good quality and bathrobe pockets are checked before they are taken to laundry for washing and any items found are registered with lost property in accordance with hotel procedure. Supporting with the counting of the linen stock if required.
  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner and respond immediately to any requests or enquiries.
  • Assist with collecting and unpacking deliveries to Asaya.
  • Clean and disinfect as per procedure all reusable items within Asaya.
  • Support associates with escorting guests to various areas within Asaya.
  • Respect guest privacy while using facilities such as changing.
  • Assist Asaya associates with the opening and closing of the facilities ensuring safety checks are completed including switching on/off items such as sauna and steam areas. Ensuring the spa is stocked, tidy and ready for use the next day.
  • Carry out any other duties or reasonable requests by managers, guests, and Asaya associate in support of the running of the Asaya and ensure guests experience is personable and positive.

Standard Responsibilities

  • Take on other tasks in addition to the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.
  • Be a “brand ambassador” at all times and ensure brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.
  • Maintain an understanding of the wellness industry and Asaya philosophy (emotional, physical, nutrition, skin health, community.)
  • Understand that as a representative of Asaya they will maintain a healthy, fit appearance and a positive attitude.
  • Model the Company’s culture, vision, mission, and core values at all times.
  • Be mindful of and active in a Wellness lifestyle and strive to inspire wellness-focused change in others.
  • Maintain personal grooming and appearance according to the standards.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward guests, associates, subordinates, and hotel management. Avoid engaging in gossip or any dialogue that may diminish the direction and goals of the hotel and the hotel group.

Whist working for the company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the company, guests, and associates. It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests, and employees, unless otherwise stated.


Health & Safety
  • Be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety Act as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace.
  • The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.
  • Report any defects in the building, plant, or equipment according to hotel procedure.
  • Ensure that any accidents to associates, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.
  • Attend Statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire, Health & Safety.
  • Be fully conversant with:
    • Regulations
    • Risk Assessments for your department
    • Hotel Fire & Bomb Procedures
