Rosewood Miramar Beach, a Rosewood Hotel, is looking for a Guest Experience Coordinator. This role is responsible to supervise all Guest Reception and PBX, work within budgeted guidelines established by the property, and manage guest activity related hotel functions by monitoring standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
- Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
- Develop and direct all front office associates through ongoing training programs and daily reiteration of procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor all guest requests and amenities with corresponding departments.
- Participate in annual budget for Rooms Division and PBX Departments.
- Select, interview, hire and train associates according to Rosewood standards.
- Ensure payroll and purchasing budget is maintained as agreed to in the annual budget review.
- Achieve maximum revenue each month by maintaining the highest possible average rate and occupancy each month.
- All other duties as required.
Required Skills
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills: Basic reservations management knowledge, i.e. forecasting, groups and convention bookings. Basic knowledge of budget figures and maintenance of those figures. Interviewing skills to assess potential new hires. Understanding of guest relations and ability to create a “team” atmosphere. Basic math aptitude. Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates. Able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.
Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting up to 25 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality, hotel management, business or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work-related experience.
Experience: Minimum five years hotel experience with two years management experience. Luxury or ultra-luxury experience is preferred.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $72,000. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, location, and education.
