Job Description

Salary: $28.00-$29.00/hour

Kona Village, a Rosewood resort, is looking for an exceptional Rooms Compliance Supervisor. The Rooms Compliance Supervisor will have an excellent understanding of front office and housekeeping operations with an interest in ensuring that financial policies and procedures are met and followed. This position will work with various key departments to ensure that key administrative functions in the rooms division are being met and appropriately followed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing and closing out folios to city ledger accounts where applicable. 
  • Reviewing the routing information of guest reservations and communicating with front office, reservations, and sales if any updates are needed. 
  • Reviews and assists the front office in appropriately charging virtual credit cards where applicable. 
  • Reviews Guest Ledger on a Daily basis and works closely with the front office and finance to close the ledger. 
  • Tracks thorough completion of night audit packets, including but not limited to, ensuring that appropriate credit card authorizations are satisfied and that adjustments are received and done correctly. 
  • Assists with other administrative paperwork at the front offices such as payroll adjustment forms or overtime forms. 
  • Assist with housekeeping inventories where needed
  • Assist with establishing and reviewing PAR stock levels in housekeeping
  • Assists with entering in Purchasing Orders for Front Office or Housekeeping as requested. 
  • Assists with Month-end routines and preparation of financial statements.
  • Additional tasks as required

Technical Skills:
  • Ability to input and access information into the Opera System.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel. 
  • Ability to maintain concentration and think clearly.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow-up.
  • Ability to promote positive relations with vendors and associates alike. 
  • Ability to provide clear and pleasant telephone communication. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of pertinent hotel data. 
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to focus on details and resolve numerical problems.
  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.

Physical Requirements: 
  •  Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 50 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or college degree is preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in hotel environments. 
  • Experience with Opera is a plus.
