Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 
I. Design and Product Standards
  • Overall responsibility is to assist Manager, ICT Engineering, Global and Director, Infrastructure and Network Operations, Global to ensure all the new-built hotels and to-be-renovated hotels are designed according to the Standards of Design of the RWHG, especially related to the Extra Low Voltage System (ELV) including Structured Cabing System (SCS), Data Network Infrastructure (DNI), WiFi System, Unified Communications (UC), Audio Visual, Hotel Guest Lock (HGL), Room Control Unit (RCU), CCTV, Security Alarm, Access Control (SAC), Digital Mobile Radio (DMR), IPTV, IoT, UPS, PDU and etc.
  • Filing of the documents from Project Consultant and Contractors to Shared Points
  • Assist to provide advice and comments on the drawings, specification, program and any technical related documents thru the design process.
  • Coordinate for the design and progress meetings with Project Consultants and Contractors.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
  • Interacts with different parites including but not limited to internal and external parties, e.g. engineering, design, project and operations associates vendors, consultants and Rosewood team members.
  • Co-ordinates with the project manager, architect, interior designer, M&E consultant and other specialists to ensure the hotel ELV system requirements will be adhered to.
  • Assist to organize the advice on all aspects of ELV engineering support, and the operational efficiency of the property.
  • Collaborates with different parties to update the design standards and new manuals with the ELV design best practice, state-of-the-art technology application, and enhancement on ELV system reliability and maintainability.
  • Spearheads technology initiatives in new build projects and works closely with the project team.
II. Development
  • Assists in potential project technical reviews and PIP reporting with regards to ELV systems.
  • Assists in property takeover/conversion related due diligence activities, as applicable.
III. Pre/Post-opening Support
  • Assists in ELV systems testing and commissioning, snagging, plant room and system handover processes.
  • Assist the simulation test of ELV systems during hotel handover stage.
  • Assists operating hotel Engineering and IT Associates with guidance on engineering design matters and troubleshooting of technical matters.
  • Assists hotel IT and engineering teams on new building technology, and their retrofit projects.
  • Assists Manager, ICT Engineering, Global and Director, Infrastructure and Network Operations, Global in introducing and following up on various IT and engineering initiatives and programs.
IV. General
  • Always keeps up to date with changing technology and design solutions, especially with regards to IT and Engineering.
  • Attends conferences and trade shows, as applicable.
  • Helps organize regional/corporate IT and engineering meetings and presents as necessary.
  • Is a “Brand Ambassador” at all times and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.
  • Models the Company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.

Critical Skills
  • Knowledge and experience in IT, AV, Security and ELV Systems in construction projects.
  • Design experience of IT/AV/Security/ELV systems, preferred in hospitality.
  • Good knowledge of Extra Low Voltage System (ELV) including Structured Cabling System (SCS), Data Network Infrastructure (DNI), Wi-Fi System, Unified Communications (UC), Audio Visual, Hotel Guest Lock (HG), Room Control Unit (RCU), CCTV, Security Alarm, Access Control (SAC),, IoT, UPS, PDU and etc.
  • Good knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) standards and applications.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Independent, mature, responsive, proactive, detail-minded, result-oriented and able to work under pressure.
  • Team player with good analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant design experience in Consultancy firm or System Integrator.
  • Experience managing ELV/ICT project and solution design as Consultants or System Integrator.
  • Experience in handling property development and/or hospitality fit out and construction projects is preferred
