Job Summary
The Senior Spa Therapist is a key and influential member of the team dedicated to ensuring the highest quality treatments are provided to our guests, training the therapist team and managing the therapists in creating unique treatment offerings. The Senior Spa Therapist is passionate about health and wellbeing and knowledgeable in diverse holistic healing modalities and techniques. The Senior Spa Therapist works well, in a fair manner, with other spa therapists with the ability to teach the required skills and give the necessary tools to perform all spa treatments, ensuring proper procedures are in place and reaching all the quality standards. The Senior Spa Therapist is able to abide by and understand the details for our spa offerings and relay this clearly to the team and guests as well as aim to continually learn and enhance his/her/their own knowledge and skills. The Senior Spa Therapist must also be involved with the retail sales, as well the goals and specific information for each spa brand and helping spa therapists achieve their retail goals. The Senior Spa Therapist will monitor to ensure the quality standards are in place between full time and part time therapists in order to reach and exceed guest expectations, spa quality and financial goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional treatments to spa guests
  • Be responsible in meeting and greeting customers, providing a positive and friendly attitude through personal recognition and prompt, warm attention from arrival to departure.
  • Ensure check-in and treatment consultation for clients when they arrive for their scheduled appointments. 
  • Provide detailed descriptions of spa treatments, packages, retail products, services, facilities and opening hours.
  • Monitor the achievements, processes and quality standards with the daily tasks for each therapist. 
  • Ensure high quality and professionalism in all our treatments, creating outstanding service always.
  • Support in the seamless running of the spa treatment operations, and guest experience with efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Provide the highest possible Forbes/LQA/Rosewood standards of service, whilst being pro-active in maintaining and/or improving profitability.
  • Monitor each therapist and help them with techniques to improve treatment quality, retail sales and uphold retail goals.
  • Assist the Spa Director in organizing the annual training schedule, having covered all service protocols and knowledge about the Brands used in the spa.
  • Responsible for creating and managing therapist team and schedules
  • Monitor and ordering of the operating supplies and product inventory in each treatment; this includes monthly inventory for professional products.

Qualifications: 
  • Dual licensed therapist (able to perform massage, body and facial treatments) 
  • Three-five years of relevant professional experience in a luxury hotel/spa
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in managing a team of therapists
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends and public holidays
