As Bartender at Rosewood Amsterdam, your day is a blend of creativity, leadership, and hands-on support. Job Summary
As Bartender, you’ll share your passion and creativity, with the team ensuring that our guests enjoy superior beverage experiences. Working closely with Beverage Director and the team you will develop innovative drinks and menus, maintain efficient service, and drive our bar’s success through planning, preparation, and adaptability. We achieve our goals through dedicated training, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities include:


Guest Experience:
  • Deliver exceptional guest service that aligns with our brand promise.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints efficiently, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
  • Build and maintain positive guest relationships.
Operational Excellence:
  • Maximize profit while upholding Rosewood’s high standards.
  • Support the outlet manager in achieving revenue targets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and licensing requirements.
  • Oversee inventory management and maintain bar equipment

Team Leadership:
  • Train and mentor bartenders to ensure top-tier service.
  • Conduct daily briefings and assign duties to ensure smooth operations.
  • Encourage creativity and recognize team contributions.

Standards and Compliance:
  • Keep the bar clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation among the team.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster strong communication within the bar team and across the hotel.
  • Implement changes based on consumer feedback and audits.
  • Work closely with other outlet managers to support overall hotel success.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a bartender, with a deep understanding of beverage preparation and service.
  • Previous leadership experience in a luxury hotel or high-end bar environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of bar operations, drink mixing, and inventory management.
  • Sufficient experience with modern laboratory equipment and techniques; such as distillation, fermentation, clarification, fat washing, sous-vide, etc.
  • Proficient in POS systems and financial transactions

Candidates must have EU citizenship or a valid work permit for the Netherlands. Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor a visa for this position.
