About the Role
The Security Supervisor works with the Security team to oversees all security operations to ensure the safety of guests, associates, and property. This role involves supervising the security guards, implementing safety protocols, overseeing daily and weekly security priorities, and coordinating responses to emergencies. 

Responsibilities include:
  • To manage the assessment and reporting of potential loss situations in the hotel in order that accidental profit loss may be prevented.
  • To assess and report potential safety hazards in order that remedial action can be taken.
  • To assist in the supervision and application of the key control system for all rooms, departments and master keys of the hotel.
  • To respond immediately to all fire alarms and act in accordance with policy and procedures with regard to fire, also to respond to all exit and security alarms, making a full investigation and reporting accordingly.
  • To be familiar with anti-terrorism and bomb threat procedures and lead emergency response situations.
  • To work with the Security team for mapping out security standards for the property, such as Crisis Management, Business Continuity, and Threat Conditions.
  • To ensure all security and hotel records are maintained in the manner instructed.
  • To ensure the rotas for security guards are in place, cover for security officers are secured in the event of absence, sickness or holidays.
  • To oversee the Security department in the absence of the Security Manager.
  • Leads by example in evoking a friendly and caring attitude that anticipates the guest’s requirements rather than only reacts to them.
  • Liaises easily with hotel guests, members and prospective guests, ensuring immediate attention and a welcome is always forthcoming, handling enquiries promptly and politely, and resolving any problems that may occur from time to time.
  • Conducts and oversees thorough associate Discovery programs for all new hires in accordance with hotel procedures and the specifics of the Job Description.
  • Assists the Security Manager with regular associate appraisals according to the hotel’s formal procedure, setting measurable goals for each associate, ensuring their skills are suitable for the tasks.
  • Ensure the rotas for security guards are in place cover for security officers are covered in the event of absence, sickness or holidays.

About you
  • MBO 2 beveiliger diploma, MBO 3 beveiliger is a strong plus.
  • A true ‘people person’, with previous experience in customer- or guest-facing security roles preferred.
  • An excellent communicator, with conflict resolution abilities.
  • A proven, security leader, with experience as a shift leader, team leader or supervisor experience essential.
  • A strong and decisive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to stay calm under pressure and resiliently handle emergencies, as well as inspiring the same in others.
  • A strong knowledge of safety protocols and first aid.
  • An ability to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
