The Chancery Rosewood, a Rosewood Hotel Group property, is housed in the iconic former U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square, reimagined by British architect Sir David Chipperfield. It includes 144 spacious suites designed by Joseph Dirand, alongside an exceptional portfolio of dining, event and entertainment spaces—providing a stage for progressive ideas, voices and expression.
We are looking for an Assistant Event Operations Director to support the strategic and operational leadership of our events function, ensuring every meeting, conference and special occasion is delivered with precision, warmth and effortless luxury.
This is a key leadership role within the Events and Food & Beverage operation, ideal for a seasoned events professional ready to operate at senior level within a flagship luxury opening. As Assistant Event Operations Director, you will work closely with the Director of Event Operations to lead the end-to-end delivery of all events across the hotel. You will balance strategic oversight with a strong on-floor presence, ensuring teams are aligned, standards are upheld and guest experiences exceed expectations.
You will act as a key operational partner to Sales & Events, Culinary, Beverage, AV and Stewarding teams, translating commercial intent into seamless live execution.
Key Responsibilities
Support the overall leadership and direction of the Event Operations function
Oversee the flawless execution of meetings, conferences, banquets and bespoke events
Act as senior operational lead during high-profile and complex events
Partner closely with Sales & Events to ensure smooth handovers and accurate execution
Lead, coach and develop Event Operations managers and floor leadership teams
Drive service standards, brand alignment and continuous improvement
Ensure effective staffing, scheduling and cost control across events
Maintain compliance with health, safety and licensing requirements
Build strong cross-departmental relationships to deliver unified guest experiences
About You
Proven senior experience in event operations or banqueting within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment
Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire confidence and calm under pressure
Commercially astute with a clear understanding of event profitability and resource planning
Exceptionally organised, detail-driven and guest-focused
Comfortable working with VIP clients, large-scale events and complex logistics
Flexible to support evening, weekend and peak event schedules
