Job Summary

Rosewood Ranfaru is seeking an engaging, service-driven, and visionary Director of Commercial to join its Executive Committee. As a key member of the leadership team, this role is entrusted with shaping and executing the property's comprehensive commercial strategy, with full ownership of revenue performance and delivery against defined financial goals. The Director will lead all facets of strategic planning and commercial activation, driving excellence across every revenue stream with an unwavering commitment to the brand’s ultra-luxury positioning. In close collaboration with Rosewood’s Corporate teams and through thoughtful stewardship of on-property initiatives, this leader will ensure every commercial endeavor reflects the brand’s artistry, purpose, and commitment to meaningful guest engagement.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight: Assume full ownership of the strategic vision, leading the formulation and execution of holistic, data-driven initiatives designed to accelerate growth across all revenue streams. Proactively identify and capitalize on untapped opportunities, with a particular focus on expanding shoulder and off-season performance through precision-targeted promotions and market-tailored offerings.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of sales, events and reservations professionals, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Leads the integration of efforts between the Sales, Revenue and Marketing Communications Teams.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the commercial budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and measuring the ROI of initiatives.
  • Partnership Development: Cultivate relationships with clients, guests and industry partners to boost brand visibility and reputation. Maximizes and leverages the support from Corporate Sales and Marketing team in pursuing business from key segments and managed accounts including corporate RFPs and prospects for new business.
  • Customer Insight: Drive sales performance through data-informed business development, lead generation, and account management. Optimises the opportunities in driving business via all available channels / distribution avenues.
  • Client Engagement: Represent the property globally at trade shows, sales missions, showcases, and industry events
  • Internal Engagement: Collaborate and support with the F&B, Wellness, Retail, Membership teams (where applicable) to assist in revenue generation for these areas.
Key Competencies and Expertise
  • Luxury Market Insight: In-depth knowledge of the ultra-luxury market, including trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics. Established network within the international luxury travel trade
  • Strategic Vision: Expertise in developing and executing sophisticated strategies that align with the business’s luxury brand identity and business objectives.
  • Other Skills: Familiarity with Opera PMS, IDeaS RMS, and Delphi systems. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. High standard of grooming and professionalism
As Director of Commercial, we expect from you:
  • Seasoned Professional: 7-10 years of progressive Commercial leadership experience at the unit or cluster level with first tier luxury hotel groups.
  • Proven Achievements: Demonstrated success in delivering on set KPIs in the luxury market. Deep understanding of revenue management and forecasting practices
  • Educational Qualifications: An advanced degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing or related fields is advantageous, as are specialized certifications in luxury brand management or digital marketing
