Job Description

 OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:

The Resort Manager for Rosewood Amaala, located along Saudi Arabia’s pristine west coast, serves as the second-in-command, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the seamless delivery of ultra-luxury guest experiences in alignment with Rosewood’s standards and Red Sea Global’s regenerative tourism vision. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Resort Manager drives operational excellence, sustainability, and cultural integration across all departments, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining financial performance, guest satisfaction, and compliance with brand and local standards in a dynamic, environmentally sensitive destination

  • The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Food & Beverage, experience working in remote luxury locations, and demonstrate expertise within the Middle East region, with the ability to adapt seamlessly to culturally diverse environments.
  • A guest-oriented mindset and proven ability to personalize ultra-luxury experiences are essential.
  • Actively support the resort’s positioning as a remote, regenerative sanctuary, ensuring operational adaptability and excellence in secluded environments.
  • Promote innovation in guest services, delivering memorable, tailored experiences that align with the resort’s vision.
  • Encourage cross-departmental synergy, particularly between Rooms and Food & Beverage, to ensure consistency and excellence across all guest touchpoints.
 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily resort operations, including Rooms, Food and Beverage, Engineering, and Guest Services, ensuring alignment with Rosewood’s luxury standards and guest expectations.
  • Support the Managing Director in strategic planning, implementing policies, and achieving financial and operational goals for the resort.
  • Lead and mentor department heads, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement to deliver exceptional service.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction through feedback, reviews, and direct interactions, addressing concerns promptly and implementing enhancements to elevate the guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and Rosewood’s brand policies, including adherence to cultural and environmental guidelines.
  • Champion Red Sea Global sustainability goals, such as zero waste, renewable energy, and minimal ecological impact, by integrating eco-conscious practices across operations.
  • Manage operational budgets in collaboration with department heads, optimizing resources while maintaining luxury standards and profitability.
  • Coordinate with external partners, vendors, and local communities to support Vision 2030’s goals for diversity, inclusion, and economic development.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to enhance skills in luxury hospitality, cultural sensitivity, and sustainability, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s workforce development objectives.
  • Act as the Managing Director’s deputy, representing the resort in his absence and ensuring continuity of leadership and operational excellence.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications in hospitality or management are a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in luxury hospitality management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a resort or hotel.
  • Strong understanding of luxury hospitality operations, with a track record of delivering personalized, high-quality guest experiences.
  • Experience implementing sustainable practices in resort operations, preferably in eco-conscious or luxury destinations.
  • Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and operational systems, with a focus on achieving profitability and efficiency.
  • Experience in remote and/or pre-opening ultra-luxury resort environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in Food & Beverage operations with a refined understanding of culinary excellence in hospitality.
  • Prior leadership experience in the Middle East or culturally similar regions is preferred.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a guest-first approach in fast-paced luxury settings.
  • Multilingual abilities are considered a plus, particularly in Arabic.
