Job Description

The Talent & Culture Manager leads key aspects of the resort’s Talent & Culture (T&C) function, fostering a culture of engagement, inclusion, and belonging.  This role drives employee relations, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, Employer Resource Groups (ERGs), and Social & Wellness programs.  The Manager balances associate concerns with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with local laws, Rosewood brand standards, and the Bermuda Employment Act.  The ideal candidate will build trust across departments, promote associate well-being, and implement programs that enhance engagement, community connection, and workplace culture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through proactive communication, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage the associate grievance process, conduct thorough investigations, and ensure fair, consistent resolutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of conflicts, corrective actions, and resolutions in a transparent and accountable manner.
  • Formalize communication between management and associates, ensuring an open and respectful dialogue.
  • Attend all departmental communication meetings as able and collect and track meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Partners with the Director of Talent & Culture identify trends and recommend proactive solutions that enhance the associate experience and reduce turnover.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging programs to foster a workplace where all associates feel valued and respected.
  • Partner with leadership to promote equitable practices in hiring, promotions, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Talent Development on training that promotes awareness, inclusive leadership, and bias mitigation.
  • Lead initiatives and ERG activities that celebrate cultural diversity and encourage participation across departments.
  • Coordinate resort-led community engagement and internal social impact initiatives, aligning with Rosewood’s “Relationship Hospitality” philosophy.
  • Organize and promote associate volunteering opportunities, ensuring active participation in internal opportunities, and local charitable events and partnerships.
  • Support the design and execution of engagement activities to strengthen sense of belonging, morale, and advocacy.
  • Lead the Social & Wellness Committee and partner to plan health, wellness, and team building events.
  • Track engagement metrics and recommend strategies to enhance the associate experience.
  • Assist the Director of Talent Development in coordinating and monitoring the performance management process, ensuring timely completion and documentation across departments as required.
 

·         Conduct periodic audits of HRIS data and personnel files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with statutory and brand standards.

  • Coordinate with the T&C Coordinator to correct or update records promptly and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ensure all T&C policies, procedures, and documents comply with the Bermuda Employment Act, Collective Bargaining Agreement (where applicable), and Rosewood policies.
  • Develop and update employee relations policies, ensure alignment with the company values and legal standards.
  • Support leadership communications related to recognition, development, and engagement programs.
  • Assist with onboarding programs to ensure consistent orientation experiences aligned with Rosewood’s culture and standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance associate development through coaching and feedback and liaise with the Director of Talent Development on action.
  • Serve as a mediator and first point of contact for associate relation concerns.
  • Participate in committees, meetings, and projects to support business objectives and guest service excellence.
  • Manage a small departmental budget and assist with planning, forecasting, and tracking expenses.

Technical and General Skills

  • Strong understanding of local employment laws, the Bermuda Employment Act, and Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and build relationships across all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS system, and database management.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a culture of inclusion, engagement, and accountability.
  • Some business and financial awareness with the ability to manage a small budget effectively.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in Talent Culture, Business, or related field required; HR certification or equivalent training preferred.


Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a managerial T&C or Talent & Culture specific role.
  • Prior hospitality or luxury resort experience in a T&C Department is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in unionized will be an asset.
