As a Kitchen & Laundry Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of kitchen and laundry equipment across the property. You will ensure all systems function reliably and efficiently, contributing to energy conservation and smooth resort operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, exhaust systems, etc.
- Maintain and service laundry equipment including washers, dryers, steamers, and ironers.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedules to avoid equipment breakdowns.
- Quickly respond to urgent repair requests from kitchen and housekeeping departments.
- Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems and perform necessary repairs or recommend replacements.
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or parts procurement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations related to electrical and gas-powered appliances.
- Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Assist in installation and setup of new equipment when required.
- Keep maintenance tools and workshop area clean and organized.
- Make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.
- Assist in training operational staff in proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts to reduce equipment downtime.
- Participate in after-hours on-call duty as required.
- Log into the work order management system to find, accept, and complete the work requests.
