THE IMPACT OF THIS ROLE
- Meet overall revenue objectives for Rooms, Food and Beverage and Spa sales.
- Develop a strategic action plan to effectively solicit and gain market share in Transient Corporate/Leisure, Entertainment and Group markets.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to meet Spa sales and Spa positioning objectives.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to secure food and beverage and event sales.
- Manage Regional and National Public Relations initiatives.
- Develop and execute an annual Marketing and Expense plan, meeting predetermined expectations.
- Manage advertising plans.
- Work with various Rosewood Hotels and Resorts internal teams to efficiently maximize all channels and opportunities to succeed.
CRITICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Minimum eight years' experience in the hospitality industry for a luxury or ultra-luxury company. Minimum three years' experience as a Director of Sales and/or Marketing for a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business, Sales, Marketing or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy' prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs' work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Language: Proficiency in English required; other language proficiency preferred.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
