Description

The Assistant Director of Housekeeping supports the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing daily Housekeeping and Laundry operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service across the resort. This leadership role is instrumental in maintaining Rosewood brand standards, supporting pre-opening readiness, developing teams, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational requirements—while delivering an elevated guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily Housekeeping and Laundry operations in line with Rosewood luxury standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.

  • Support team leadership, training, scheduling, and performance management.

  • Assist in payroll control, budgeting, inventory management, and cost control.

  • Oversee linen, uniforms, cleaning supplies, and operational equipment.

  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Engineering, and F&B to support seamless operations.

  • Support Laundry operations, ensuring quality control and linen availability.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHAD, OSHA, and hotel health & safety regulations.

  • Act as a brand ambassador, delivering refined, professional, and guest-focused service.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience as an Assistant Director of Housekeeping, Executive Assistant Housekeeper, or similar leadership role in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel.

  • College degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Solid knowledge of Housekeeping and Laundry operations, health & safety, and chemical handling.

  • Experience managing payroll, budgets, inventories, and large teams.

  • Proficient in English (additional languages are an advantage).

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
