We are recruiting for a Sommelier position to join the team at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco for the 2025 season. As Sommelier, you will support in create and update the wine list in coordination with chefs and the Restaurant Operations Manager, recommend food and wine pairings, advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices.

Job Description

- Responsible for delivering on the brand’s promise and provide exceptional dining experience at all times.
- Knowing LQA standards and applying them consistently. He/She also ensures that the people he/she supervise also know the processes and ensure that these are applied consistently.
- Strong knowledge of Rosewood standards and their correct application to ensure they are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
- Exhibit friendly, caring, and courteous manners when dealing with guests, staff, and fellow employees.
- Motivating and providing a working environment in which associates are productive and working together to their strongest ability.
- Ensuring positive communication between associates and managers to ensure keeping the morale high.

Job Requirements

- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a sizeable luxury hotel or a fine dining restaurant, with at least 1 years in similar position.
- Knowledge of LQA/Forbes standards.
- Strong written and spoken Italian and English.
- AIS Certificate, Wset Certificate is a plus.
- High level of attention to detail and refined manners with exceptional communication skills.
- Model the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.
- Identify departmental needs and actively participate on fulfilling any internal training need that arise
