Position Summary
To supervise housekeeping staff in the proper performance of assigned tasks necessary for the successful completion of care and preparation of guest rooms according to the standards set by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. To provide support to Housekeeping management, assuring the superior maintenance of a clean and attractive appearance for all guest accommodations and public areas.
Essential Functions
· Inspects all vacant rooms, rooms assigned for maintenance, and night turndowns.
· Visually inspects all Show Rooms, VIP Rooms and public areas before use or sight inspections.
· Ensures that Room Attendants and Housepersons have been properly instructed, and all carts are set according to standard.
· Ensures that both carts and linen/supply closets are kept clean, neat and stocked according to departmental guidelines.
· Reports all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders, and telephones emergency repairs immediately.
· Expedites special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows.
· Assesses and inventories Housekeeping storeroom for supplies and equipment.
· Assigns rooms to be cleaned when needed.
· Ensure that all employees are in proper uniform and well-groomed when reporting to assigned areas.
· Ensures proper training and re-training of all floor staff.
· Ensures that all Room Attendants have the proper and necessary equipment and supplies to do the job.
· Ensures that computer status of guest rooms is updated continuously, and vacant rooms are ready for arrival.
· Notifies Room Attendants and Inspectors of pre-assigned VIP or group rooms
· Assists in the cleaning of rooms when needed.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the Hotel.
Supportive Functions:
· Reports all suspicious persons or actions, hazardous conditions, etc. to the Security Department.
· Responds to guest questions. Provides guest assistance, directions, and information requested with a pleasant and hospitable attitude.
· Attends all Department meetings.
· Adheres to all Rosewood Tucker’s Point safety and room standards.
· Assists in the preparation of gratuity breakdown sheets as needed.
· Acts as a liaison between floor staff and department administration.
· From time to time relieves Department Office staff when needed.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper to best accommodate the guests and the hotel.
· On a daily basis, sets a clear example of the standards of behavior of the hotel for all other staff
· Provides instruction and/or guidance, and takes responsibility for guest and employee safety in emergency situations
